Is a prototype chair in ash and cast aluminium by Norwegian designer Lars Beller Fjetland
It’s the meeting between industrial strength and nature’s own untameable force that lock the Equal chair together in this unexpected marriage between industrial and traditional craftsmanship. A single screw seals it all off, the ever expanding and retracting wood in the tight grip of a single, seamless piece of cast metal.
By accident I found a firm by the name of Michael Thonet in the Buenos Aires region of Argentina.
Established in 1979, it is one of the most traditional firms that import, manufacture and sell furniture.
Its 3,000 m2 industrial facility has the most modern technology in drying and machining of wood, as well as an excellent finish in pressurized cabins luster. This allows the firm to adapt to the needs and tastes of its customers, with the possibility of custom work and special colors. Our staff of 60 employees strives to everyday to manufacture, sell and deliver to your home a better product.
In addition it represents the Italian manufacturer Billiani 1911 in Argentina.
